The new BioCapture z750 is the successor to the widely deployed BioCapture 650 bioaerosol sampler and uses the same technology, which is the most extensively tested and validated bioaerosol sampling technology in the world. It is a battery-powered handheld device that collects bioaerosols with very high efficiency into a replaceable cartridge. The device is designed for operation in the hot zone (including use while wearing a Class A suit), can be easily decontaminated, and the replaceable cartridge system eliminates the risk of cross-contamination between sampling operations. The operation is very simple and intuitive, virtually eliminating the possibility of operator error. The BioCapture z750 is compatible with PCR, immunoassay methods, mobile mass spectrometry-based techniques, and laboratory confirmatory techniques. A new feature compared with the previous generation is the option to select a mode in which the sample is collected for 5 minutes at the maximum possible flow rate of 500 liters per minute, achieving the maximum possible concentration of the collected sample.
